Dental Care

We are a full service dental practice providing a range of family, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.

Oral hygiene is an important part of this. We recommend regular check-ups where all aspects of oral hygiene are checked and discussed. This is also the best way to detect problems earlier and treat them before they become too complex; this results in a less expensive treatment plan. Visit our Oral Health Therapist

Using CEREC technology, we can prepare and manufacture your crowns, caps and even bridges in-house. This saves you  the stress of having to return for a second appointment. You also no longer have to worry about temporary crowns ever again.

Our surgery offers a variety of cosmetic treatments including crown and bridgework, veneers, teeth whitening, Invisalign, aesthetic restorative materials, implants and orthodontics. We use a team of highly qualified specialists to help us get the best results for our patients.

Our highest priority for children’s visits to our practice is that the visit is stress free and a positive experience, which will lead to a lifetime of relaxed dental visits — different from past generations.

Teeth might become injured through disease or trauma and require root canal therapy. This can manifest itself as either pain or darkening of the tooth. At Crows Nest Dentists we are able to treat the majority of these cases, having had over 35 years of experience. On the occasion we do refer cases that we consider complicated, to highly qualified specialists.

If a tooth is unable to be saved due to decay or fracture and is causing you pain, we provide pain-free extractions in a caring environment. Sometimes wisdom teeth don’t have enough room to grow properly, leading to pain and difficulty cleaning. In these cases, with the help of our in-house OPG for diagnosis, we can either perform minor surgical extractions or refer you to fantastic specialists for this.

We at Crows Nest Dentists recommend that anyone playing any form of contact sport should wear a mouth guard.
We construct a variety of mouth guards depending on the need and level of sport.

At Crows Nest Dentists we utilise advanced dental technology to provide pain relief and safeguard your teeth against wear and tear resulting from teeth grinding and clenching. Our treatment commonly involves the use of occlusal splints, also known as night guards, which can serve both as a remedy and a preventive measure.

Other Services

Snoring & Sleep Apnoea Devices

A large percentage of our population suffers from snoring. This can, in a number of individuals, be associated with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea which has been shown to be detrimental to one’s health.

Crows Nest Dentists provide a number of devices, which are recommended in the treatment of this condition.

Inhalation Sedation

We at Crows Nest Dentists do understand that not everyone enjoys their visit to the dentist.

For the patient who is extremely nervous, we have nitrous oxide which is a safe inhalation sedation treatment. It relaxes the patient and is completely reversed before they leave the surgery.

We can also organise sleep sedation for patients who need it.

The Wand

The Wand is a computerised anaesthetic technique delivering almost painless anaesthesia — excellent for children (and BIG children too).

We also offer the Injex system, a process of anaesthesia without the use of needles.

OPG - On-site Dental X-Rays

We now offer on-site OPG dental x-rays, saving you the hassle of having to go to a separate x-ray clinic.

These x-rays allow us to diagnose problems in the jaw immediately, including problems with wisdom teeth, reducing the need for a second consult appointment.
